Background
Gloria Williams is one of the most selfless, kind, generous people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She has dedicated her life in caring for her mother, and best friend, Mary Louise Williams, 97. Mary loved her family and church friends, her fur babies, bowling, taking walks, and doing word search puzzles. People always admired her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes.
Despite Gloria's care, Mary's health has declined over the past year, and she has been in and out of the hospital ICU. Unfortunately, during her most recent stay, doctor's were unable to cure the infection, and sepsis set in. Due to her age, and declined health, Mary has been sent home with a palliative care nurse, to live out her last days in the comfort of her home, with her loving daughter, sweet dogs, and family friends.
All of these hospital visits, time off work, and home nurse care have added up financially. Gloria has had to make difficult decisions, take out loans, and make numerous financial sacrifices to her own future. Gloria wants more than anything to honor her Mom with adequate funeral arrangements, but doesn't have a lot left to spare, and Mary doesn't have any death benefits to help defray the costs.
We are asking for donations of any denomination to help our friend Gloria, who would give the shirt off her back for any one of us. If Gloria or Mary have brightened your life, made you smile, or laugh in any way, I ask that you find it in your heart to donate. Even if you don't know Gloria or Mary, if this story of selfless love touches your heart, I ask for your help.
