Mary's obituary

Mary was born just before the winter of 1940 to Ann and Michael Cody who had recently immigrated to the US from County Cork, Ireland. Mary was the first of their 3 children. Her father died when Mary was just 5 years old. Her mom was aided by her two sisters raising the 3 children. Mary went to work at the local doctors' office as a preteenager until college where she found her love for Interior Design. She went to the Pratt Institute of Design and worked at the Benjamin Moore Company until she met her husband John Robert "Bob" Langevin who was in the service. They had their first child at West Point Military Base and then together they all traveled to North Africa. While in North Africa, Mary worked for the United Nations where she would meet many lifelong friends. Upon return to the US, they had their second child. The family would host many diplomats and dignitaries at their home in Saddle Brook, NJ. Soon, Mary would return to work. She worked at the executive offices of Panasonic where she worked with some of the music greats like BB King and Earth, Wind and Fire as they were promoting the latest recording devices. The family moved to Florida where she would revive her love for Interior Design again working for the Benjamin Moore Company until she opened her own firm. After retirement, at the urging of her daughter, she went to work with her at the Palm Beach Gardens office of Dr. Scott Katzman until she had to leave for medical reasons.
Mary leaves behind her son, Police Chief Steve Langevin and his wife Michelle and their daughter Katelyn of West Palm Beach and her daughter Michele "Mindy" Langevin of Stuart, Florida as well as a myriad of friends throughout the world!
In lieu of flowers, Mary had asked that anyone might make donations to the ASPCA as everyone knows Mary loved doggies!
