Mary Laney/Day, 84, of Roxboro, NC, passed away on May 29, 2023 peacefully in her home.

Mary was born on [January 17, 1939] to Mrs. Lullabell and Theodore Talley ] in [Roxboro, North Carolina]. She attended public school in Roxboro before leaving to help her parents on their farm.  She landed her first job for The Cintas Company where she worked as a laborer for many years before retiring], Mary had  8 children , [Bruce Day(Ella Day) the late Terry Day , Larry Day and Pamela Day, Joanne Day-Jones(Michael Jones) Thomas Day, Melvin Laney and Connie Laney. And 2 young men that she raised as her own Michael Foster and Kaheim (Turtle) Cook. After retiring, [Mary] spent her time as a nanny taking care of all of the children in the family and friends children who would all call her grandmother whether they were related or not].

Mary was preceded in death by [Brothers(get name) of N.C, Gene Talley of Phila., Sisters, Pat Talley of Phila., Shelia Talley of N.C., Ruth Talley if N.C. and Portia Talley of N.C., who have passed away]. She is survived by [Brother Michael Talley of N.C., Sisters Shirley Talley of Phila. and Betty Talley of N.C].
