Tiff,  It's hard to believe that it has been 3 years since your mom went to a new dimension. I'm sure you still feel her guiding presence around you at times. xox

Grateful that Mary Jo introduced me to Body Brain in Palos Verdes. It changed my life and her brilliance filled my life with joy.

Thinking of you Mom MaryJo Curwen... today is your second birthday in heaven or after your transition from this life as you believed... I've been doing little things to honor you, like having a cold beer on hot summer days (and you weren't even a beer drinker, yet you liked a cold beer on a hot summer day), wearing your jewelry (really feels like a touchstone)... I miss doing fun things with you, sharing so much daily life (weekends of open houses and Unity South Bay, evening fundraisers [silent auctions you liked best], traveling, meals together sharing dishes, and even just hanging out... especially your hugs and encouragement. Thank you for living and being my mom. I love you.

I shared this on my facebook page too

Mary Jo had such determination and energy that brought her through many medical and emotional struggles the past few years. She was devoted to her growing family and to Unity as she would log in to our Sunday evening Zooms even while on the road. Her passion and her spirit will be greatly missed by her friends and i send my heartfelt prayers to her family. Tiffany, you are always close in my heart.

I remember Maryjo voraciously eating a half watermelon resting on a bale of hay on the curb at our house during our Unity church western fundraiser! Everyone's arms were behind their backs and each person was trying to win by eating as much as possible in this timed contest! She was determined to win and she DID! I can see her laughing at the end, watermelon juice all over her face and just so tickled at it all!
She was quite a gal and I will miss her lovely energy❤️
Mary Jo and I go back a long ways in our Unity church and metaphysical beliefs. My children and hers went to Sunday School together. I will miss her❣️🙏❣️
Mary Jo was always an inspiration. When I first met her, I thought she was the coolest person I had ever met, she was wearing a leather jacket and her hair was short and spiked. She looked like a rock star. She always seemed to be living life to the fullest, traveling, visiting family, making plans for future trips. She was a unique individual who will be greatly missed.
Mary Jo was a wonderful friend and I miss her. Knowing how much I miss her I can only begin to imagine how much her husband, daughters, her family. I am so sorry for your loss. Mary Jo was a beautiful light in this life and I am heartbroken for her family to have lost that light so much earlier than they should have. May her memory be a blessing to their hearts and a balm to their souls.
What a wonderful, compassionate lady, full of love and light.
Mary Jo was a devoted, enthusiastic participant in Unity of South Bay, along with her daughter, Tiffany, and I loved that about her. I wish I had gotten to know her better, but very glad we were in a Zoom Unity gathering for the past 3 years. I know her years in Unity were a blessing to her in her long battle with cancer.
