Mary Elizabeth Herring (née Ewen), aged 70, passed away on June 17, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana. Born on July 30, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, Mary was known for her selfless nature and immense pride in her children.

Mary leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Harold Herring, Ann Cole, and John Herring, grandchildren Emma and Nora Cole, special niece Heidi Sailors, seven siblings, Glen A. Ewen, Jerry (Diana) Ewen, Joanne Ewen, Nancy (George) Wilson, Cynthia (Steve) Beheba, Shirley Staples, and Dean Ewen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen L. and Marie Ewen.

Mary was happily retired from Walmart after over twenty years of employment. She loved reading and finding a good bargain. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her smile, kind heart, and laugh will be greatly missed.
