Mary Margaret Hardy, 67, of Kalkaska, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 29, 2025.

Mary was born in Kalkaska on February 22, 1958, to Robert and Marcella Hardy and grew up in Michigan. She was a trailblazer in her career, becoming one of the first female road representatives for Procter & Gamble — a role she embraced with determination, professionalism, and grace. Her pioneering spirit left a lasting impression on colleagues and opened doors for others who followed.

Mary was known for her strength, warmth, quick wit, sharp dart game, and occasional card shark streak. Whether she was sharing stories around the kitchen table, cheering on her grandchildren, or lending a compassionate ear, she had a way of making others feel heard and valued. Her presence lit up a room, and her humor and deep love for those around her were constants in the lives of her family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ted; her sons, John Robert (JR) Heim and Christopher James (CJ) Heim; and her cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Addison, Noah, and Liam. Mary is also survived by her brother, Pete and Bob Hardy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marcella Hardy.

Each person who knew Mary is invited to celebrate her life in their own way, in their own time. In lieu of flowers or donations, go throw a dart and play a random card game — she’d love that.

Mary’s legacy is one of courage, compassion, and love — and she will be missed.
