Mary's obituary

Mary Louise (Addington) Gabler Age 69, of Maplewood, Minnesota passed away peacefully in the presence of family on March 6th, 2026.

Mary was born on January 1st, 1957 to Harold and Donna Addington. Mary was the oldest of 4 children. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1975. In 1978 she met Michael Gabler, and they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1979. Together they welcomed a son, Jonathan, and a daughter, Sarah.

Mary was most proud of being a grandmother. Few things brought her as much joy as caring for her grandchildren when they were young and spending time with them. For those who knew Mary, they knew her most for being a Christian who loved helping others whenever she could. Mary will be remembered for her infectious smile, the love she had for talking to everyone, her kindness, and unconditional love for all. Even as an adult, she had a special love of cartoons and Disney movies. She loved dressing up in holiday-themed outfits, hats, and jewelry. She enjoyed watching crime shows and reading murder mystery books. Most importantly, she will be remembered for her big collection of Precious Moments figurines.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Donna Addington, and sister, Teresa (Addington) Porter. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Gabler. Her children, Jonathan (Daisy) Gabler, and Sarah Gabler. Her cherished grandchildren, Andre, Koi, Billy, Chayton, Alanna, Ayiana, and Thomas. She is also survived by her brothers, Steve (Elisa) Addington and Jim (Keli) Addington; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
