Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary Frankola of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, passed away on March 15, 2019 at the age of 94 years old. Mary was born on March 29, 1924 in New York, New York to her parents Luis and Otilia Mendez. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Edward Frankola. Together, the couple had a marriage filled with love, laughter, and dancing for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Pat Smith and Alice Collaro. Mary will always be remembered for how she lived her life, having a deep devotion to her family and those she loved. During her lifetime, Mary could be found reading a book, watching the latest movie, or listening to Frank Sinatra. She is survived by her three children, Lorraine McConnell, Edward Frankola (Melanie Frankola), and Marilyn Frankola (Ron Curry), five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Mary is also survived by her two sisters, Adele Walsh and Carol Sengel, as well as many relatives and friends. Friends and family can attend the memorial service on Tuesday, March 26th at 9:45 in the morning at St. Anselm’s Church 356 82nd St. Brooklyn, NY.
