Mary "Fran" Skasick, 80, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on May 22, 2022 after her brief  battle with brain cancer. She will be remembered as the lady with the purple hair that was always walking to those in her community. 

Mary was born on July 22, 1941 to James and Mary Byars. She was predeceded in death by her parents,  a son, Michael Skasick, a daughter, Michelle Johnston  and a grandson,  Michael Caldwell. She is survived by  a daughter  Sharon  Buckholts of Bryant, AR,  a son, Ernest Rice of Benton, AR.  She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Ben  Grice (Kristi), Dana Grice,  Alex Rice,  Bobby Johnston, Logan Call and Victoria Fruth as well as 5 great grandchildren, Tifani,  Brandin, Chloe,  Christian  and Jasmin.  She is also survived by her 3 brothers,  Ed Byars (Nancy) of Benton,  AR,  James Byars (Judy) of Sheridan,  AR and  Glenn Byars (Donna) of Pine Bluff, AR, and several nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to name. Her very best friends, Jan Hafely and Marty Jones were always there for her,  we should all be so lucky to have friends like these two and I know they will miss her greatly. There will be a  celebration of life at a date to yet be determined.
