Mary was a bright spot in my life. She truly lived everyday to the fullest. She loved God and she loved her family. Her family returned her love in full measure. I am so sorry for your loss. Caren Barnes
Mary and another lovely lady, Echo, took the time to come to Tabitha Nursing Home once a week and play cards with my parents, Blanche and Edgar Kuhlman. It was the highlight of their week! Mom always said that Mary made her feel like “ a real person”, not like a patient in a care center. It appears as though Mary had a gift for being authentic with people 5 to 95! God Bless Her!
We are so saddened to learn of Mary's passing. She always saw the good in everyone. Heaven is a lot brighter with her there. May her faith be a comfort to you in your grief.
She loved to talk about her teaching and showed several pictures she would carry around with her wherever she was. Such an interesting lady to talk to.
Jenny is our daughter, Rick is our son-in-law and Piper is our granddaughter.
She hired me for my first teaching job at Ravenna, then helped me many times while I was teaching in Litchfield. I admired and respected her…she was a very special lady.
I remember the time She and Susie were here in Washington visiting my mother (their sister Evelyn) they were working on a jigsaw puzzle when my mom jumped up and said " ok girls it is time to put this away and to get out the paints or colors" I think she was in her mind at that time thinking she was the teacher and they her students as mom really was their teacher when they were all younger and just starting school. This was the last visit the three had prior to my mother's passing and at the time i know sometimes she went in and out of the present. Upon having given them Mary and Susie the instructions they both complied just as if they were the students at that time. My aunt always had a smile for anyone, was always happy and never spoke bad about anyone if it could be helped. Thru my life i was not able to be as close as some but i WILL miss her with all that i am. Ray Dillon\
