Mary's obituary
Mary Ellen Fox, 49, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully at her home on May 18, 2025. Born in Fort Hood, Texas, Mary was the cherished daughter of Robert and Darlene (Clarkson) Ferguson. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and quiet strength.
Mary dedicated her life to caring for others. As a nurse assistant at OU Medical Center, she spent years offering comfort, kindness, and support to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. She approached her work with dedication and heart, always putting others before herself.
She is survived by her husband Phillip Fox; her children: Phillip Fox, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Brean Zearley, Hattie Fox, and Benjamin Fox; her siblings: Robert Ferguson and wife Carolyn, Gale Ferguson, and Dawn Kisner. Mary is also survived by her four beloved grandchildren.
Mary found peace and crocheting, which she often used to create beautiful gifts for those she loved. Her home was filled with warmth, handmade touches, and an open door for anyone in need of comfort or company.
She lived in the Oklahoma City area for over 20 years, building a life grounded by love and resilience. Her loss is deeply felt, but her legacy lives on in the lives she touched.
The service will be held on May 24th, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Southern Hills Baptist Church located at 8601 S Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159.
