Mary Melissa Pyles Davis was born November 13th 1972 in Galveston, TX. She passed away on November 1st 2023 at age 50. Her life was cut short by the ravages of cancer. Melissa is preceded in death by her husband Shane Davis and her father Jerry Pyles. She is survived by her children; Katelynn Davis 24, Skyler Davis 21 and Natalie Lester 16. Her partner; David Lester & Mother; Ellen O’Brien. Future son-in law & friend; Tyler Smith.

Melissa was a true music lover, there was never a time she didn’t have music playing. She was also an animal lover, adopting many dogs and cats throughout her life, one cat in particular name Matilda that she cherished for almost 15 years. She loved gardening, fashion and cosmetology. Melissa will be missed by many friends and family. The funeral service will be held at Cottle funeral home in Troup, TX. Date will be posted soon.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 430 Tara lane, Troup, TX 75789 or Cottle funeral home a couple days before memorial service.
