Mary
Catherine Taylor went home to the lord April 15, 2026, in Jacksonville Fl
surrounded by her loving family. She was
born December 21, 1959, to Hershal McCollum and Erlene Batten Simmons in Albany
Georgia.She is
proceeded in death by her Mother Erlene B Simmons and father Hershal McCollum
along with bonus father James Simmons sister Gail McCollum, and nephew Jason
Chad McCollum. Uncle Edward Batten and Aunt MaryAnn Batten. Aunt Florene Batten
Douglas Georgia.Surviving is
her only child James E Simmons and his wife Laura of Panama City Florida.
Granddaughters Gracie and Kayden Starr bonus grandsons Zachary and Brennan
Nelson (Lauras sons). Sister Eileen McCollum spouse Bernardino Hernandez,
Norman Park Georgia, Sister Kathy McMurray spouse Ronnie Moultrie Ga, Sister
Laura Lollar Moultrie Georgia and Uncle Russel Batten and Aunt Melba Batten St
George Georgia, many nieces and nephews and cousins along with close friends.Mary enjoyed
Nascar, Alabama (ROLLTIDE) boating, fishing, loved romance novels, and was long
life supporter for the ASPCA and LOVED spending time with family and friends.Mary upon her
passing left a very special gift to help save lives, she was an organ donor and
through her gift she will save 3 lives if not more.There will be
a Celebration of Life announced later in Moultrie Ga and in Panama City where
part of her ashes will be put to sea.
