Mary's obituary
Mary L Brown was born on July 12, 1937 to Octavia Credit-Brown in Winsner,La and Eli Curtis. After graduating from High school she moved to Freeport,Tx. Then managed a club in Arcola,Tx (The Foxy lady Later in the years she moved to Missouri City for 10 plus years.
In 1984 i she moved Wharton,Tx. we’re she worked as a dietary aide at Avalon nursing Home for 7 years then worked for Texas Home Health for 5 years and Drummer Inn.
In later years she met the love of her life. Mr. Lavender Prentis Ice-man Curtis, going on to have 8 children Harry Brown of Temple,Tx. Patrick Curtis of Temple,Tx Prentis Curtis of Wharton,Tx. James Curtis of Temple,Tx. Jeffery Curtis of Temple,Tx. 1 daughter that preceded her in death Jennifer Curtis.2 sons that preceded in death.
Mary was a compassionate person with a warm spirit of helping others. She help people no matter what the situation was she always a help mate. and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her room watching her man as she would say Marvin Sease .She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents
1 daughter And 2 sons.
She leaves behind 2 sisters Willie bell Henry of Monroe,La and Lucille Brown of LA,California.
