Sylvia Moose
1983, Fulshear, TX, USA
Story by Jenny Nolin Kamman, as related to Sylvia today, for comment on the site. I saw Auntie Mary a lot when I was very young, but never got to know her after I was maybe 6 years old. We both moved to other states several times, so did not see each other much. I know that she always saw the best in everyone, though. She loved everybody, it seemed. I do remember one day in Texas she came riding up the driveway on a motorcycle behind a guy. We hadn't seen her in several years. And there she was. She wanted all 4 of us kids and parents to come to a festival north of Houston and we would all get free admission. ( The guy would become her husband and Carrie's father.)
Mary helped and took in people when they were in trouble. She always saw the good in people, which she may have gotten from Mom. She was taken advantage if a lot, but she stayed the same.
Mary loved to be around family, I have many memories of Mary but to share one , I guess it was when she stayed overnight and she ,my sister and I stayed up all night playing cards and nursing a Josephs coat plant back to life. We had alot of fun laughing and just being us. Carry and Sylvia my love and prayers are with you always.
