Mary Ann Braswell, age 63, of Rocky Mount, was called home to the Lord on March 22, 2024, in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a life rich with love and service. Born on March 19, 1961, in princeville, NC, Mary embodied the spirit of humility and compassion throughout her days.

A faithful servant of God, Mary walked in the light of His grace, exuding a quiet strength and a boundless capacity for love. She was a beacon of hope and a source of comfort to all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a testament to the virtue of gratitude, always counting her blessings and recognizing the divine in the simplest moments.

Mary's heart was a sanctuary of warmth, always open to those in need. Her sisters Dorothy Braswell, Emma Darden, Barbara Akinson, and Jacqueline Wiley, along with her adored nieces, nephews, Latisha Braswell, Christopher Braswell, Quarsha Braswell, Xavier Braswell, Shamee Braswell, Shakeyla Braswell, Thakeyla Braswell, Cameron Braswell, Imoni Braswell, Quarmya Braswell, Faith Braswell, Dream Braswell, Messiah Braswell and First Cousins Ruby Lee Johnson, Larry Johnson, Larry Johnson Ir. will carry forward her legacy of kindness and for all of God's creation.

She was greeted in the Kingdom of Heaven by her beloved parents, Ruby M Braswell and George R Braswell, who preceded her in their journey to eternal rest.

For seven years, Mary humbly served at Keihin Carolina System Technology in Tarboro, NC, where she retired in 2023. Her colleagues will remember her for her unwavering integrity and for the respect she showed to every individual, reflecting her deep understanding that we are all God's children. HD Pope Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, NC, has been entrusted with the sacred duty of arranging Mary's farewell on Earth as she ascends to her heavenly abode.

In celebrating the life of Mary Ann Braswell, we honor a soul that truly walked in faith, lived in love, and left an indelible mark of goodness in the world. She now rests peacefully in the arms of our Creator, and though she will be greatly missed, we rejoice in the knowledge that she has found eternal peace and joy in the presence of our Lord.
