Michelle's obituary

Mary Michelle Bayona was a loving mother, daughter, Mimi, sister, and friend. She passed away on February 26th, 2026, at 65 years old.

Michelle loved loudly, laughed easily, and would do anything to help those around her, often before they even knew they needed it. She spread her love far and wide, yet it never seemed to run out. She was an amazing mother to her daughters, Jennifer and Tiffany, and a wonderful Mimi to her grandson, Braxton.

Family was her top priority . Growing up as one of seven siblings, she loved them all fiercely, and her heart grew to encompass many others. She became a second mother to many, always offering a listening ear, advice, and support. While she had many close friends, her best friend, Angela, was her rock for over 30 years. They became thick and thieves from the moment that they met and truly loved and supported each other throughout all these years.

Michelle possessed a cheerful soul, which was most evident when she was around children. She made childhood incredibly fun for her daughters, nieces, nephews, and many others. This light shone brightest with her grandson; becoming a grandmother was one of the greatest joys of her life. She was silly, thoughtful, and creative with Braxton, always finding unique activities they could do together and bringing him a new book, toy, or tchotchke every time they met, which was often.

She was very creative and enjoyed doing crafts, making things like suncatchers and earrings. She also loved painting small rocks and leaving them in random places in hopes that someone would come across the small treasure, and it would brighten their day. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her plants and flowers. She loved being outside in general. Even when cooking, she'd prefer to grill out on her back porch. She'd often send care packages to her daughters with various treats and meal items she'd make.

Michelle was a hard worker and took great pride in that. She formed easy friendships with her customers and constantly joked around with her coworkers. Most people she met left with a smile because hers was so infectious.

She was an incredibly strong person and strong-willed as well. To be loved by her was to be both known and still deeply cherished. She has left an everlasting handprint on the lives she touched, and she will be missed by them all.

Michelle is preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Evelyn Dennis, sister Diane Dennis, brothers Keith & Wade Dennis, and sister in law Nadine Dennis.

She is survived by her children, Tiffany (Kyle) Anderson and Jennifer (Gabe) Khouli, her grandson Braxton Khouli, her brothers and sisters in law, Stuart and Tina Dennis, Scott Dennis,  Anthony and Angie Dennis, as well as 10 nieces & nephews.

There will be an informal Celebration of Life to honor Michelle at the pavilion in Asbury Park - 104 W Watson St., Oxford, GA 30054 from 1:30pm to 4pm.

Since the celebration is at a pavilion, in lieu of flowers, please bring (or send) a written note to share a favorite memory with Michelle, or things that were special to you. The family will create a keepsake of these special memories.
