Mary's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Williams, born in the year 1955, who departed this life on June 17, 2023. Mary was a well-loved cornerstone of her beloved community in Wichita Falls, TX, where she resided since 2008.
Born and bred a Texan, Mary was a distinguished employee at United Airlines, where she began her career in 1988. Mary's legacy extends way beyond her professional life; she was a caring mother who brought a child into the world in 1976, and a doting grandmother since 1999. She was incredibly proud when she purchased her grandmother's house, moving in to create cherished memories with her daughter and granddaughter.
Mary had a deep-rooted love for cooking, often filling her household with the tantalizing aroma of her wonderful creations, a tradition she shared with her family. She had a keen taste for Sprite, always having it stacked in her fridge and ready for guests.
Her soft spot for Jamaica made it her preferred vacation destination, relishing in the tropical landscapes and serene beaches, often reminiscing about her experiences there. Mary had a particular fondness for the color blue, finding tranquility and calm in its soothing hues.
Mary was characterized by her warm and inviting nature. She was a beacon of wisdom, always ready to share her life lessons, chief among them being "Do unto others as you’d have done upon you." Her caring demeanor and extraordinary ability to make everyone feel included and happy made her a bright light in any room.
Mary's remarkable life and accomplishments will be celebrated and admired by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, inclusivity, and joy will continue to shine brightly for generations. We will deeply miss her wisdom, kindness, and magnetic personality. We mourn her loss deeply, but we also celebrate the remarkable life she led, and the wonderful influence she had on those around her.
