Mary Jane Ambrosio passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 74, after succumbing to pneumonia. Born on September 14, 1951 in Oakland, California. Mary Jane died in La Mesa, California on December 19th, 2025.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Cameron Morrison Hagan and Nancy Jane Hagan; her first husband, Robert David; her second husband, Gilbert Tracey; her final husband, John Ambrosio; and her beloved grandchildren, Kyle Ian and Saoirse Rose.
Mary is survived by her four children: daughter Amber Dewar, and sons Erick David, Matthew Tracey, and Luke Tracey; her cherished 8 grandchildren: Curtis David, Brittany David, Jordyn Dewar, Lucas Tracey, Kira Wong, Cali-Rose Tracey, Khloe David, & Carter Tracey; and sister, Patty Silva.
Mary worked as a waitress at many restaurants over the years, including the Gay 90’s in Pleasanton, where her mother also worked, as well as numerous other establishments. Mary was also a brilliant artist.
Mary was known for her easy-going, free-spirited “hippie girl” nature. She was fun, made people laugh often, and loved good food—especially fried chicken and lobster.
An amazing artist and deep, galactic thinker, Mary saw the world through a unique and expansive lens. She was other- worldly in spirit, often seeming beyond her time here on earth, and viewed life with imagination, curiosity, and cosmic depth.
Mary’s life was challenging, but, also rich with creativity, laughter, endurance, and love. We celebrate Mary’s liberation and life, and are grateful to have known Mary Jane.
