Obituary
Marvis Justin Phillips, a decades-long resident of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, passed away on April 4, 2023, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was 67.
Mr. Phillips, born Aug. 30, 1955, in Denver, Colo., had seven siblings. He graduated from Brighton High School and, after moving to San Francisco in 1973, attended: City College of San Francisco; Southwest College and Heald Institute of Technology.
