Marvin's obituary
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Marvin Mitchell, a man of joy, laughter and ceaseless curiosity. Born on August 5, 1946, Marvin left us too soon on December 23, 2025.
Beyond just existing, Marvin truly lived. He faced each day with a joyful spirit and a sense of humor that could brighten the darkest rooms. His laughter was infectious, his wisecracks memorable. His presence was a ray of light that etched lasting memories in the minds of those he encountered.
Marvin was a lifelong learner, an explorer of knowledge. From understanding the intricate workings of a timepiece to unraveling the mysteries of the cosmos, his thirst for learning was unquenchable. He embraced the world with childlike fascination, an attribute that kept him youthful at heart even as the years rolled by.
He leaves behind a loving family who cherished and revered him. He is survived by his sisters; Norma Webber, who shared his love for jovial banter, Jodi Stelk, his partner in countless adventures, and Carolyn Smith, his confidante in all matters of life. These bond they share with Marvin will remain unbroken, their memories of him cherished and preserved in their hearts.
In these moments of grief, we find solace in remembering the times Marvin made us smile, the moments he illuminated with his wit, and the joy he brought into our lives. As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a spirit that will continue to inspire us.
Marvin Mitchell, you were a beacon of happiness in our lives and you will be sorely missed.
