Marvin was born April 9, 1943 to John and Katherine May. He was one of 4 children. He was the last survivor of his siblings, Myra (sister),
Myrna (sister), Martin "Johnny" (brother). He was a Native of Colorado and his family was one of many pioneers of Colorado. His family had a homestead by Elizabeth, Colorado.
