Marvin's obituary
In Loving Memory of Marvin Lee Farmer Jr.
October 12, 1982 – April 12, 2025
Marvin Lee Farmer Jr. was born on October 12, 1982, to Marvin Lee Farmer and Emma Williams Farmer. On April 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, Marvin peacefully entered eternal rest at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
A proud graduate of A.H. Parker High School in Birmingham, Marvin went on to attend Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a custodian at Mountain Brook High School, where he was known for his dedication and kind spirit.
Marvin accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Liberty Church of God Cathedral in Warrior, Alabama, under the leadership of Elder Arthur J. Johnson, Jr.
A devoted father, Marvin found his greatest joy in spending time with his daughter, Amariiyah Farmer. He loved music and began playing drums in elementary school, continuing through college and into his adult life as a drummer for his church. He also loved grilling and spending time with family and friends, always bringing joy and warmth wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Robert and Ruby Farmer, and Willie and Savannah Williams.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved daughter, Amariiyah Farmer; his devoted parents, Marvin and Emma Farmer; his sister, Markesha (Ricky) Parker of Wake Forest, North Carolina; his cherished niece and nephew, Raegan and Ayden Parker; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his good friend who was like a brother, Dante’ Parker.
Marvin's love, laughter, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
