Honoring Marvin Avelar: A Beloved Husband, Father, and Friend
Marvin Avelar was an extraordinary man whose life was tragically cut short. On March 24th, 2025, Marvin was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and devastating degenerative brain disorder. Despite his strength and resilience, this cruel illness took him from us far too soon, at just 48 years old.
Marvin was a loving, hardworking soul who touched the lives of everyone around him. His sudden passing has left a profound void in our hearts and unexpected financial burdens for our family. We are reaching out to our community for support to help cover the funeral and related expenses.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to ease these costs. Any funds raised beyond this amount will be donated in Marvin’s name to organizations dedicated to research and awareness of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, in hopes of helping families affected by this little-known illness worldwide.
