Marty's obituary

Martin John Waner Obituary

Born 09-02-1961 Died 04-20-2026

Martin was born in Montclair, California. He had three sisters and two brothers. His life was a rough and tumble experience with great adventure, consisting of traveling, hunting, fishing, hiking and raising a family.

He married at 18 and had four kids, one daughter and three sons. He was a master mason, but also a craftsman with numerous talents. His stonework was the best you could receive, from walls and garden beds, to houses and even a football stadium. His work was vast with a large variety. You may have passed by the many buildings and walls or lived in the various homes he worked on. He taught his kids how to be creative, problem solve, and most importantly, do everything right the first time.

Martin lived in many places, including Chino, Glendale, Apple Valley, Lake Havasu, and Horseshoe Bend. After his kids were grown and he became tired of Idaho winters, Martin returned to Arizona to live out the rest of his life in Kingman. His true passions were hunting, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. He was truly a legendary mountain man. He trained and sold hound dogs, spending much of his life following them through the mountains of the western US.

He loved horses, dogs, chickens and health trends with his own twist. He was extremely strong from countless years of hard labor, and he had stamina that could rival Olympians. Martin could run straight up mountains, the ones that would take an average person a day to climb. He lives on through memories by his five siblings, and his four children, Sara, Travis, Kyle, and Clayton.

Martin will be missed and will always have the legacy of a Mountain Man.
