Martin Kern Stanley III passed away from complications due to metastatic lung cancer on October 7th, 2023. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret “Franny” Buster Stanley and father, Martin Kern Stanley Jr.

Martin previously resided in Benton, TN, Mountain Lakes, NJ, and Bellingham, MA. He served in the United States Navy from December of 1972 to March of 1974. Martin married Joyce McCracken in September of 2020.

He is survived by Joyce McCracken as well as his step-daughters, Amy K May and Emily K May.

Marty's final wish was to be cremated in his black suit, barefooted, like Paul McCartney on the cover of the Beatles album, "Abbey Road".

As a foster child he felt their music saved his life from depression and gave him hope to believe he deserved to have a man like a Beatle to be his dad.

He never fully recovered from being abandoned by his father. 

The "Yellow Submarine" brought Marty and Joyce together.

He truly loved rock n roll!
