Martin's obituary

Martin Kewer fell asleep in death on July 23, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in Hanover NH 35 years ago and attended school in Waits River and Norwich VT. He graduated from Hanover High School in 2005. He worked locally for Ramuntos, 5 Olde Nugget Alley, and Foggs Stoneworks.

While starting off at Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ, Martin later transferred to University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau to study marine engineering. After graduating, he worked for the Alaska Ferry System, making many trips from the Aleutian Islands of Alaska down the coastline as far as Seattle. He rose through the ranks to ultimately become a 3rd engineer and was a proud member of The Inlandboatmen's Union of Alaska.

After an injury prevented him from continuing this line of work, he joined his twin brother in Atlanta where he enrolled at Atlanta Technical College to study to be an electrician. He then accepted a position at Hormel Foods where he remained until death.

Martin took much pleasure in fixing things and loved cats most of all. Football was his favorite sport; he also enjoyed bowling. He loved cooking food for his many friends and family. He enjoyed traveling, visiting Mexico and Hawaii with dear friends.

Martin was caring and had close friendships with people of all ages and backgrounds. He had a great sense of humor and could always coax a laugh during the hardest times, was generous to a fault and will be truly missed.

He leaves behind his parents Robert and Lorraine, his brothers Mitchell and Andrew, his sister Adrienne Duran and brother-in-law Shannon King as well as his grandmother. Surviving also are aunts and uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.

There will be no services.
