Martin's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Martin Washington Brown, 55, of Arlington, Virginia, on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Martin was born on October 6, 1970, to Clarice and Rudolph Brown. He received his early education at the United Nations Playgroup and Allen-Stevenson School, and later attended Hotchkiss High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, building a career in the field of law.

Martin “Greg” was known for his strong work ethic, as well as his warmth, honesty, vibrant energy, and fun-loving spirit, which left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was a loving husband, a cool and caring uncle, and someone who valued time with those he loved. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice and father, Rudolph Brown.

Martin is survived by his devoted wife, Michiko Brown; his siblings: Havelock, Rhoderick, Genevieve, Caryl, Cheryl, Vivienne, Rudolph Jr., Lorraine, Debbie, and Nadine, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A viewing and funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 1, at 12:00 PM at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home and Cemetery. A repast will be held at 5:00 PM at The Salvation Army, located at 20021 Aircraft Drive, Germantown, Maryland 20874. 

The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made through our Ever Loved memorial page.
