Martha's obituary

Martha Jane “Janie” Taylor Trefny, 59, went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2019 in Carrollton, Texas. She was the beloved wife of Michael Trefny; they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage together.

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janie was the daughter of Ambers and Martha Taylor. During the early years of her life, they moved to Richardson, Texas where Janie attended school. She graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in 1978. After graduation, Janie began her employment at Halliburton and worked in a variety of roles for nearly 40 years.

Janie was a member of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship. She enjoyed reading and rooting for her favorite college football team, the Oklahoma Sooners. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, great work ethic, and her genuine concern for her family and friends.

Janie is survived by her husband Michael Trefny, daughter Brynna Cockrell [Bo Cockrell], brother Dane Taylor, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her father Ambers Taylor, mother Martha Taylor, and brother David Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 2 p.m., at the chapel at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, located at 4141 International Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75007.
