Martha Siders, 81, for of Carson, CA passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Martha grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, a town that she loved and often visited. She worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District and enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and traveling. Martha will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Martha has now joined her parents Porter Scott and Gertrude Odom-Scott, her brother Porter Scott Jr. , as well as her only grandson Joshua LaFayette Taylor.  She is survived by her daughters Porretta Siders (Andre Taylor) and Phyllis Siders( Fred Richardson), as well as three granddaughters Andrea Taylor, Natalia Jackson and Natori Thompson, great-grandchildren Brandon and Taylor Clay, Matthew Taylor, and Dishon Reeds, first cousin Lucius Jackson and her maternal aunt May Odom. Martha requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Martha’s loved one to join us in celebrating their beautiful life at Rose Hills on January 12, 2023  at 3:00 pm.
