My condolences to the Pipkin family. I knew Ms Pipkin through her daughter Stephanie. Stephanie and I attended Grace St Luke’s together. My mother and I attended one of their performances and Ms Pipkin sang opera and Steph played the guitar. That was back in 1976 or 1977. That was a nice memorable performance. Ms Pipkin gave an exercise class at GSL for our 9th grade class and I remember being on a mat stretching my legs while she said “flex” and I remember I said “flex” out loud. That was fun. I also went to the gym at GSL a few times to see her conduct her exercise class. I also enjoyed watching her show “Shape up with Martha”. Throughout the years I would run into Ms Pipkin at different health food stores in Memphis and I would ask her how Stephanie was doing. It was nice to feel that connection with someone that I’d known since High School. My thoughts and prayers to everyone. Sincerely, Beth Wilmot
