Martha's obituary
Martha Pierce, born in 1934 and departed this world on October 5, 2024, was a woman of grace and kindness who left an indelible imprint on the lives of all who knew her. Martha's warmth and nurturing spirit will never be forgotten, her legacy consisting of love, guidance, and her unwavering dedication to family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph Pierce, son-in-law Steve Braden, grandson Sam Braden, and daughter-in-law Gail Pierce. Her memory continues to be cherished by her children; Pat Lockhart, Ralph Pierce, Martha Braden, William Pierce, and Edwin Pierce.
Martha's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted attendee at Ramah 1st Baptist Church, her spiritual home away from home. Giving back was a core tenet of Martha's life, and her dedication as a volunteer at Pats Daycare and Preschool was second to none.
Her passions were wide-ranging; from the joy she found in the old gospel music to her love for the culinary arts, particularly her treasured homemade candy and desserts. Martha was an artist, delighting in keeping her hands busy with sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her generosity could be felt as far away as Missouri, where she once crocheted 300 hats for the Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Martha had a zest for life and enjoyed physical activities, finding particular joy intending to her garden. Known for her sweetness and patience, Martha's life was abundant with accomplishments, with her proudest being her family.
A Celebration of Life for Martha will be held on October 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at 600 Wren Way, Warrensburg Mo. 64093. Her burial will follow on November 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mallory Road College Park Ga. 30349. A second Celebration of Life will be held on November 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Ramah First Baptist Church, 502 Ramah Dr. Palmetto Ga. 30268

Her family will miss her immensely but are comforted by knowing that she will continue to watch over them, showering them with the same love she lavished on them during her time on earth. Martha's spirit continues to shine brightly, guiding and uplifting us as we remember her incredible life journey.
