Martha A. Jordan, daughter of the late William E. Jordan Sr. and Martha A. Yates-Jordan was born on August 7, 1938 in Washington, D.C. On July 10, 2025, she quietly departed this life at the age of 86.

Martha, affectionately known as Winnie, was preceded in death by sons Ronald J. Jordan Sr., Kelvin E. Jordan, her daughter Brenda Johnson, her siblings Frank Maddox, Marvin Maddox, Melvin Maddox, Deborah Williams, William E. Jordan Jr. and her grandson Ronald J. Jordan Jr.

Winnie is survived by her sister Marie Jordan, best cousin Claudann Williams, her sons Richard Jordan & Percy Jordan, her granddaughters Christina Williams, Dhanielle Washington & Rasheeda Cannon, her grandson Nathaniel Kemp, her great-grandchildren Ilaysheya, Ronee, Ronnita, Austin, Derrold, Dhenim, Monaco & Myracle, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Winnie was a cook for many years in Downtown D.C. and her love for cooking extended to her family and friends. On the weekends, she loved to listen and dance to her "oldies but goodies" music, play cards, shop at the "favorite store” and spend time with family and friends. In her quiet time, she prayed for her family and friends. She will definitely be missed by many.
