Martha's obituary
Martha was born on May 25, 1930, in Durango, Dgo., Mexico, to Anselmo and Maria Refujio Tinoco. She graduated from Los Estudios Unidos Mexicanos in August of 1942 with a degree in Secretarial Studies and Bookkeeping. She worked for the government until the fateful day that she met an American tourist (Bernardo Arabalo) that captured her heart. They corresponded for two years and married on April 25, 1963. She gave birth to her daughter Mardee in 1965, followed by her son Bernardo in 1966.
Martha struggled to assimilate to her new Country but despite her struggles she studied hard and became an American Citizen on March 16, 1979. She had the most beautiful personality that drew people to her. She struggled to learn English but somehow everyone she met understood her and became her friend for life. She was a skilled seamtress, homemaker, gardener and cook.
Her faith in God was unwavering. She was a long time parishioner of St's Peter and Paul. She loved family, celebrations, and get together's. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. No one was ever a stranger to her, we loved that about her. She loved to talk, dance, and listen. She was an amazing listener.
A mass is scheduled for December 7, 2019 at St's Peter and Paul Church (3900 Pierce St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033) at 1:00pm. All who loved and knew her are welcome to attend and celebrate Martha's life.
