Martha M. (Amodio) Nelson, 77, of Rome, passed away at home on Sunday, March 1, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

   She was born on March 20, 1942 in Utica the daughter of Angelo and Celestine Scotellaro Amodio. On January 14, 1969 she married Donald F. Wilson who passed away in 2004. She remarried on May 17, 1980 to Wesley Nelson who passed away in 1995. She attended Utica Schools and later became a hair stylist.

   She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marlene Kupiec of Frankfort, Lisa Wilson of Rome and Ann Marie (John) Lohr of Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, James (Sandra) Wilson of Rochester; eight grandchildren and six great grandsons; a sister-in-law, Marie Amodio of Oriskany, brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard (Georgie) Amodio of Vienna and John (Debbie) Amodio of Utica; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Michael Amodio, Sr. and son-in-law Michael Kopiec Sr.

   Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. with the Rev. Robert Wollaber. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
