Marshall Wayne Ray, a loving husband and father, accomplished professional, and adventurous spirit, passed away on October 1, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte Corby Ray. Born in Mineral Wells, TX, on February 18, 1948, Marshall's life was a testament to his kind heart and inquisitive nature. An Eagle Scout in his youth, he carried that sense of purpose throughout his life. After graduating from Mineral Wells High School, he pursued his love of science at McMurry College in Abilene, TX, earning a degree in Chemistry that laid the foundation for his successful career. In 1977, he channeled his entrepreneurial spirit to found Southwest Fluid Products, Inc., where his dedication and vision made a lasting impact on his industry.

On January 26, 1969, Marshall married the love of his life, Charlotte Corby. Their marriage was a remarkable journey of more than 55 years. Together, Marshall and Charlotte built a cabin in Colorado—a tranquil retreat where they could escape and enjoy the beauty of nature. Marshall was also a licensed pilot, finding immense joy and freedom soaring through the skies. The Rays cultivated a life rich with experiences, traveling to more than 30 countries and creating a lifetime of cherished memories.

Marshall’s life was deeply rooted in his faith and community. He was an active member of both Arlington Heights Christian Church and later St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, where he found camaraderie and spiritual guidance. He served as Chairman of the Board and on numerous committees. His quiet strength and warm smile were a comfort to all who knew him. He was a man of integrity, known for his genuine kindness and the unwavering support he offered to his loved ones. He will be remembered not only for his many achievements but also for his generosity of spirit—often giving his time, talents, and financial aid to those in need.

Marshall’s memory will be cherished by his daughter, Kendall Shearman, and her husband, Richard Shearman. His legacy lives on through his treasured grandchildren, Eleanor and Benjamin Shearman. He also leaves behind his devoted sister-in-law Nancy Heath; brothers-in-law Johnny Heath and Allan Cardwell; nephews John Heath, Josh Heath, and Philip Cardwell; and niece Bobbie Lynn Dotson. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
