I am so sorry for your loss Sean and Kelsey. Your mom was a great lady. She and your Grandma Dorothy were my husband Dennis(now deceased) and my family, when we moved from Michigan to California. She used to call us her Palm Springs kids.
I lived with your mom for a short time in Bermuda Dunes while I waited for my husband to come out to Palm Springs. Marlene and I taught together in Coachella at Dateland Middle School, that is where I met your mom in 1977. Both coming from the Midwest we had a lot in common. Marlene was like the sister I never had. She was a fun loving free spirit, always kind and helpful. Marlene used to talk about going back to school for her doctorate. She loved being a teacher and working with her special ed students. She was also the coach for the girls drill team and would take them to Orange County or LA for competions whenever there was one. On occasion I would go with her.
I am heartbroken that Marlene left us so soon and missed being able to spend time with her new little grandson and perhaps future grandchildren. She would have been an inspiration to them while being a loving and fun grandma.
Marlene will always have a special place in my ❤️ Rest in peace my dear friend.

What great photos and memories! Thank you for allowing us a glimpse into the lives of your mom and dad. I had the pleasure and privilege of working and interacting with Marlene on a daily basis for several years before the pandemic. I will always remember her smile, quick wit, love for her family, dedication to her Aon family, and her passion for cheetos washed down with a good ole bottle of white zin. :-) She loved life and people. She showed kindness to many. What great shoulders you all stand on with a wonderful cherished legacy that will live on for generations.

I had the joy of working with Marlene with two employers. She was such a wonderful person, knowledgeable and dedicated. Many blessings for peace and comfort to her family and many friends.

My sincerest condolences to the McLoad family, especially Sean and Kelsey. Marlene was my first boss and mentor. Her caring nature and ability to explain things to a kid, like me, who knew nothing above insurance is to this day the best I have ever seen. The way she could take someone under her wing and teach them how to learn, grow, and prosper in their career is why she was always involved in the early career development program at Aon. She was truly a one of a kind personally and will surely be missed by many.
