Obituary for Marlana Constance Penna

Marlana (Lanie) Constance Penna, 45, passed away on April 13, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1980.

Lanie will be remembered for her sense of humor and the joy she brought to those around her. She loved music, especially the band Sublime, and enjoyed watching scary movies. She also had a deep love for animals and a compassionate heart that showed in how she cared for them.

She is survived by her loving mother, Sharon Penna; her sister, Kimberlee Nacarelli, Kim’s husband, Don. She also leaves behind her nephew, Blake Marker, and his wife, McKenna, with whom she shared a close bond. She was predeceased by her father, Perry Penna.

An intimate burial will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey, on April 25th at 11:00 AM.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the American Legion, 78 Westfield Avenue, Clark, New Jersey 12 PM.

Lanie will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

In honor of Lanie’s love for animals, donations may be made to a local animal shelter in her name.
