We loved Mark and he will be greatly missed. He was genuinely kind and always always found a way to make a joke about everything. We were so blessed to know him. From Johnny and Ashley (Selk) Brown.
Jeanne and family,  How can we assist you in the last 2 days leading up to the Lenexa Baptist service  on Saturday and the luncheon at the Mint.  Please don't hesitate to open up and let us know nothing is too small or large that we'd help prior, during or days, weeks, months .  Knowing Mark from both Colonial and Center his being was totally inspiring and left us with a feeling of awe.. I have been the lead Center'74 reunions chairman since 1979 and served as our class officer either secretary or treasurer during our high school years. I created the history of our class and  have kept the directory records confidential with a purposeful approach toward reuniting classmates that have lost touch over the years . We know the Dennis ad Carolyn Organ, who attend Lenexa Baptist.your family has been our prayers and we have hoped you have had time to collect a perspective on all that he has accomplished in life. Blessings be unto you and family  Joy & Rick Weekly. My ovrjoyd76@gmail.com and  913-626-9774. joy

I’m so sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.🙏🙏🩷🩷🙏🙏 Mark was a very nice gentleman
I was so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. He was such a joyous and witty person. He would also light up a room with his smile and quick witty comment. May you find comfort in the Risen Saviour during this difficult time.
Dear Jeanne and Family...I am stunned that Mark is no longer with us.  I did not see it coming, especially having beaten cancer.  I am so sorry that you have to face the challenges ahead.  No matter how many unanswered questions you may have for God, know that He will never leave you and He loves you with an intensity you can't imagine.  I appreciate having been friends with Jeanne and Mark for 45 years, ever since my late wife, Cathy,  introduced me when I first moved to Kansas City.  Mark was just as goofy as I am, and I knew we'd be best of buds.  My daughters, Jenni and Courtney, send their love, as do I.  Big Hugs!
Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. May God bring you peace and comfort. Love, Neal & Rebecca Bowers
Mark was a dear friend in Christ.  To use his words, "a brother from a different mother."  We were in Bible study together for many years.  He was funny, provocative, with deep insights into spiritual matters.  He told me at lunch a couple months ago, "I'm ready to go, but I want more time with Jeanne."  To Jeanne and your family, my deepest condolences.  The men in our Bible study and I will all miss him immensely.
