The picture I took of Uncle R…
2019, Maw Maw Connie's house in Holden
The picture I took of Uncle Randy the night before I moved to North Carolina, the same night I dyed Aunt Vanessa's hair maroon and did my strip of the same color. I will always remember that night...we all had so much fun at the house that night!

Uncle Randy was very much a GREAT uncle to have!! He came to my "rescue" several times when I needed someone there. And there were many times when I needed someone to talk to, when I was having a hard time coping with life's problems, and just needed an ear. He always gave me encouragement to do the right thing, and when I needed to be "told about myself", trust me, he was sure to do that as well! I have received many a butt chewing from him, and each one came straight from his heart! In many, many ways he was more of a father than mine ever was!! I have picked up my phone lots of times to call him, and each time I remember that I will never get to talk to him again, I break down and cry. He was there on his birthday (the day before he passed) when I came out of surgery from getting my colostomy bag and chemotherapy port put in my chest. He promised me that day that he was going to be the one who came with me to get my first chemo and radiation therapy treatments. So needless to say, I had a 💔 when that day came. He was definitely a source of strength, he was a gentle and compassionate uncle who loved me very much, whom I think about all the time! I will forever miss him! He was the main one who made me feel like part of the Crayton family...along with his children and his wife, Aunt Vanessa. He loved and missed her very much, and told me he was looking forward to seeing her again on the other side...and the one thing that comforts me is the thought of her greeting him with her beautiful smile! I love you, Uncle Randy, come visit me in my dreams sometime. ❤

Uncle Randy was a huge part of my childhood. He loved Steve and I like we was his blood. He never got on to us or told us no very seldom. He loved his family and spoiled his kids. RIP Uncle Randy
