Mark's obituary
Mark Piske, 66, of Flint, MI, passed away at his home on April 29, 2022 surrounded by his family, and lifelong friend, Scott Martz. Mark was born August 10, 1955 in Caro, MI to Franklin and Carol Piske. In addition to his parents, he leaves behind 3 siblings Paul (Iris) Piske, David (Vickie) Piske, Diane (Carl) McElrath. Also surviving are his children, Rory (Nate) Lemoine, Ryan (Chrystal) Piske, and Stacey (James) Michanowicz, as well as many grandchildren and 1 namesake great-grandchild.
Mark was a graduate from Mott Community College where he earned an Associate Degree of Applied Science in sign language interpreting. He worked the latter part of his career as a freelance sign language interpreter. In his free time, he enjoyed studying his family genealogy, manicuring his sprawling yard, and playing with his various beloved dachshunds. In more recent years, he was an active member at the Burton Senior Center and made many friends there that were special to him. Mark will be remembered for his love of babies, his quirky interest in frogs, his affinity for gross foods (black jellybeans, fried chicken livers, anchovies) and being a great father and grandfather.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family will hold a memorial gathering at a later date this summer. Anyone that would like to honor his memory is asked to make a donation to the Burton Senior Center. https://www.burtonmi.gov/depa….
