Mark's obituary
Mark Anthony Pfeifer, 62, passed from this world on April 17, 2024 after a short and unexplained illness. He was born June 2, 1961, the youngest of three children, to Marvin and Geraldine Pfeifer and was a life-long resident of the Denver area. His love, faith, and kind heart have left an indelible mark.
Mark was a source of strength to his family and a gift to all who knew him. He demonstrated the importance of living with love and compassion, of cherishing relationships, and of holding our faith close, no matter the challenges we face, and he faced many challenges.
Life changed for Mark in 2012 when he met Charles Michael (Mike) Knapp. He experienced a new, profound joy and serene contentment, and they married August 22, 2015. Their story is an inspiration, and their relationship a testament to the power of love and partnership. They shared a life filled with mutual respect and unwavering support. Together, they cultivated an extraordinary garden and nurtured two furry companions, Luke and Buddy.
Mark's creativity was evident in everything he did, from his vibrant paintings to those lush, carefully tended flowers. His loyalty, integrity, and work ethic can be seen in the number of clients he maintained for years and years. And how those clients reacted when he became ill… with tears and genuine concern.
Mark was also known for his humor and contemplative nature. He had a way of making people laugh with his witty remarks and funny anecdotes, yet he also had a deep, reflective side that allowed him to connect with others on a profound level. He was playful, full of life, and always ready to spread positivity.
Mark was also a man of deep faith. His Christianity was a cornerstone of his life, and his participation in the Highland Church community was rewarding and fulfilling. He often and randomly shared devotions with family and friends, offering words of encouragement and wisdom. His humility and generosity were reflections of his strong faith and his desire to help others.
He is survived by his loving husband (Mike), sister (Cindy), niece (Tamara), nephews (Kevin and Brian), brother-in-law (Richard) and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Brenda.
Rest in peace, Mark. You are deeply missed. May we emulate your spirit of kindness, gentleness, and unwavering compassion.
