Background
The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by legendary coach Jim Valvano with one goal in mind: to achieve Victory Over Cancer.
It seems as though everyone has been impacted by cancer in some way or another, and The V Foundation has always put 100% of funds towards cutting-edge cancer research and nationwide programs.
This resonates deeply with our family as we helped Mark navigate a stage VI prostate cancer diagnosis for three years before cancer took him from us. Many of those cancer treatment appointments spent watching sports. We hope for a future where others do not have to experience the pain and suffering of having cancer and losing a loved one. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The V Foundation in honor and remembrance of Mark North.
