Mark's obituary

Mark Bradley Meihofer, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022, leaving behind enough dry food, power tools, and first aid kits to last a zombie apocalypse. Or a worldwide lockdown. Whichever he thought would come first.

His two daughters, Amanda Elizabeth and Natalie Jean Meihofer, who accepted and absolutely loved his loud and bombastic personality (which made for endlessly interesting car rides) survive him. He is also survived by his wife, Julie Meihofer; his sisters, Anna Shelton and Lisa Stigler; his nieces, Amber Meihofer, Whitney Meihofer, Hannah Shelton, and Bailey Stigler; and his nephews, Houston Meihofer, Graham Meihofer, Robert Shelton, and Jessie Stigler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Meihofer, and his brother, John Meihofer.

Mark was born in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He continued his education at the University of Memphis, completing his BA in Finance while working various jobs that made great fodder for fun stories.

Mark enjoyed many things in life. He loved to reminisce about the olden days, tell stories over a cold beer, and proudly scroll through his entire library of self-taken pictures. He loved fishing (especially with his dad), camping in the mountains, and river rafting with his buddies (except for that one time). He was an avid golfer, photographer, poker player, and occasional smoker. However, his absolute favorite pastime was spending time with the people he loved.

Mark died knowing that he could still eat an entire box of pizza by himself and that his family and friends loved him without restraint. He passed knowing that Adam Sandler movies are still the funniest pieces of media ever made, and that Coors Banquet is the best commercial beer ever bottled. We will always love and cherish the precious memories he gave to us.

Thank you to everyone who called this loud funny tall-guy their friend. He will forever be in our thoughts and in our stories, and we wish him a peaceful transition into the next life.
