Mark was the coordinator at Vista del Camino and my boss for one of my first jobs. He made such an impression that almost 40 years later, I can still imagine perfectly his cheerful face, booming laugh, and patient way of explaining things that, in hindsight, should've been obvious. One of my favorites: After naming a roller skating event a "Panda Party" which made no sense...he came up with "Dynamite Roller Night" and proceeded to walk me through the ins and outs of promoting an event and making it awesome. That's just one of a hundred stories that left a lasting impression. I will never forget him and am so thankful that my life crossed paths with his for a while.
Mark was man who commanded the room with his cheer and laughter and humor. He was a living legend in all he achieved and his leadership. He will be remembered for my lifetime for the example of what can be when you live with heart and passion. To me it’s always been best summed up to say he was a Good Man. Rest in peace, Mark. You won’t be forgotten.
