Mark's obituary

Mark, age 76, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. He was a longtime resident of Richmond, Virginia, and was born and raised in Downey, California.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; his three sons, Garrett (Sarah), Cameron (Virginia), and Daniel (Kacey); his five cherished grandchildren; one brother, David (Sherry); and his many nieces and nephews. His family brought him immense joy, and he will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a deeply caring grandfather and uncle.

Mark had a deep passion for music and served as a church organist for many years, sharing his talent and love of music with others. He enjoyed the theater, and delighted in his fond memories (and photographs) of his time on and off stage.

Mark built a career in software development, where his sharp mind and natural curiosity served him well. He was a lifelong learner who was always exploring how things worked, often tinkering with electronics and taking on projects simply for the joy of discovery.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, his playful spirit, and his genuine kindness. His curiosity, creativity, and love for family will be dearly missed.
