Grandpa Mark’s joy on the day of our adoption ceremony is something we’ll never forget. His smile stretched ear to ear, so proud to call Ben and Carson his grandsons (which he always had). Every moment he spent with them brought him genuine happiness: cheering them on from the sidelines, reading bedtime stories in his signature silly voices, laughing at their jokes, or simply sharing in the chaos of family meals. Being with them wasn’t just something he enjoyed; it was something he truly cherished. His deep love for his children and grandchildren will always be the greatest gift.
Grandpa Mark was the biggest fan of his grandkids, and the best cheerleader for our boys, showing up to as many soccer games as he could. Always beaming with pride on the sidelines and giving big hugs after the game. He's holding his littlest grandbaby here. Although Jesse only got to know Grandpa Mark for a little over a year of his life, he got to spend lots of time with him on Thursdays. Playing the piano, making messes, going on walks, and being silly together.
From playing at Deep Run Park to exploring the neighborhood creek to passing the ball in the backyard to meeting up at the Godwin Homecoming Parade, Grandpa Mark was always up for an adventure with us!
