Mark's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Vigneault, who was born on March 20, 1966, and sadly left us on August 16, 2024. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Vigneault Mark was predeceased by both his mother, Donna Boss of Hillsboro and father Paul Vigneault of Arizona.
Mark, married his best friend Mary in 2022 after many wonderful years together. He was a connoisseur of life, savouring everything from his homemade salsa and chips to the culinary experiences at new restaurants. On a lighter note, Mark's favorite sport was sarcasm, which he playfully exercised each Halloween season by scaring their kids any way he could. Mark had a passion for Rock music and frequently was found ad libbing his own words while working in the garage , especially his favorite AC DC
His love for the hot days of summer was undeniable. Mark found freedom on wheels, mastering the trails on his self-restored Jeep and spending days boating on the lake with his many Grandchildren. When not exploring, he was a man of many projects, always on the go, a consummate jack of all trades. His prowess was evident in every household project or car repair he undertook, always eager to share his knowledge and time with those he cherished or lend a helping hand!
Mark cared deeply about treating others with respect and kindness, qualities he embodied unapologetically. He could not tolerate conflict and never comprehended the desire to harm another. He was a good son, a terrific father, and best friend to his wife Mary! Mark was a beacon of positive energy, empathy, and kindness. A peaceable man, Mark detested conflict and any form of harshness. His gentle admonition, "Hate is a very strong word," is a phrase his loved ones should always remember. He frequently would be heard singing the words “All you need is love” at the first sign of any discourse.
In his final days, Mark withdrew amidst extreme turmoil and hatred, showing an admirable strength of character. His passing leaves a legacy of kindness, gentleness, and understanding that many have chosen to ignore. While his last months were challenging and painful physically, it was the emotional attack that hurt him the most. Mark's wish was for his family to learn that hatred serves no one and Just invites the devil in to your home! Mark deserved so much more from his family then he received in his final days. He was heartbroken to watch his family tear apart his life and love. He wanted nothing more than his entire family to love and support one another, a testament to his loving nature.
Mark Vigneault was a man of lighthearted playfulness , love, laughter, witty sarcasm and honor and he will always be remembered for his substantial contributions to all who met him. , Mark was a vibrant spirit, and his enduring love for his wife, family, friends and his beloved dogs ran deep. While he most certainly deserved a kinder and more respectful farewell, his wife will take solace knowing he is finally at peace. Until we meet again, Mark, your spirit will forever continue to live in our hearts, attempting to always guide us towards kindness, tolerance and understanding while listening to Ozzy and AC DC and chilling in the sun with a Sam Adam’s. Our lives will never be the same and you will be missed forever. May your wife find some way to forgive what was stolen from her and rise above the hatred and disrespect you were both shown!
