Background
Mark Heaney spent most of his career researching and treating individuals with rare blood diseases and cancers. He was internationally recognized for his research in the area of mast cell diseases, and he was a leader in employing clinical and translational research for patients with leukemia and rare blood cancers such as myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) and Erdheim-Chester Disease. Donations to the following charities will give other brilliant and dedicated physicians and scientists like Mark the ability to conduct research in these areas and support patients.
