Mark's obituary
Mark W. Hazelton, aged 71, passed away on July 10, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan. Born on October 23, 1953, Mark was known for his passionate and stubborn nature, traits that served him well both professionally and in his personal pursuits.
Mark dedicated much of his life to his career, working with NRTC until his passing, and previously with PICO and TLC Lawn Care, a business he founded and nurtured himself. His work ethic was unparalleled, often described as a workaholic, a testament to his tough, driven character.
Beyond his professional life, Mark had a profound love for riding motorcycles and traveling. These hobbies provided him with great joy and satisfaction, showcasing his adventurous spirit and love for the open road. Mark was known for his deep love of travel and had lived in various places, including England, California, and Alabama, before moving back to Michigan in September 2024 to be closer to his family. He cherished the moments spent with his children and grandchildren during his visits to Michigan, always ensuring quality family time.
He is survived by his children, Danielle (Tony) Stacer, Julian (Melissa) Hazelton, and Lauren Hazelton; and his granddaughters, Lily and Savannah Stacer. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Wayne Hazelton, along with numerous extended family members.
A Celebration of Life for Mark will be planned later this summer, where friends and family can gather to honor his memory and legacy. Details of the event will be shared with family and friends in due course. Mark will be remembered for his indomitable spirit, his dedication, and his ability to inspire those around him.
